Visiting the Roman Colosseum - Opening Hours
Opening hours are from 8:30 am to one hour before sunset (see table below for actual times). The opening hours exceptions are Good Friday when the Colosseum opens from 8:30 am - 2 pm and June 2 when the Colosseum opens from 1:30 pm - 7:15 pm). The Colosseum Ticket office closes one hour before closing time.

Visiting the Roman Colosseum - Coach Tours
Coach tours are great for those visitors who prefer not to have to walk too far. However, visitors on Coach Tours will not be able to see some of the most famous sights as places like the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps are pedestrian only zones. It is also worth checking whether a coach tour allows for actually going into the Colosseum.

The Roman Colosseum is extremely central in the city of Rome. It is situated a few hundred yards from the Piazza Venezia and in easy walking distance to the Forums. You can visit the Roman Colosseum taking public transport by the metro, bus or by tram.
